First Friday

Stop in at the Calumet Art Center November 1st for First Friday in Calumet. We will be demonstrating various techniques in clay including how to throw on the wheel. There will be demonstrations in glass bead making and weaving on a floor loom and/or twining loom. Perhaps you’d like to try weaving while you’re here.

Calumet Art Center Fall Fundraiser and Empty Bowls Finale

There are several pieces of art in many forms ready for our Silent Auction Fall Fundraiser here in the Center! We also have soup simmering in the kitchen for the Empty Bowl Finale tonight between 6:30 to 8:30! Stop in and enjoy a healthy bowl of soup and hearty bread for your donation and stay to bid on your favorite art pieces!

Calumet Art Center Fall Fundraiser to Coincide with Empty Bowls Finale

The conclusion of this year’s Empty Bowl Project will coincide with a silent auction on October 24 at 6:30 p.m. The Empty Bowls Project is a year round open project at the Calumet Art Center. We have several sized bowls still available in the studio, each with suggested donations of $10, $20 (average sized) to larger and more decorative bowls ($45 – $70). Any would make a colorful addition to your decor! Your donation will be reciprocated with a meal of savory soup and hearty bread. Join us in community support of eliminating hunger. We will also be holding our annual Silent Auction Fundraiser on the same night. In past years we have had a wonderful variety of pieces donated by area artists for auction. This annual Fall Fundraiser helps to support our Traditional Arts classes. Please join us in community support of your neighbors, relatives and friends! Relax and enjoy a warm, healthy meal and stay to bid on several of your favorite art pieces!
